Cornerstone Behavioral Health Specialists exists to provide developmental and behavioral services to improve the lives of families and communities that include children with special needs. Our goal is to encourage communities to embrace children with special needs and their families and to empower people with practical solutions to enrich the lives of children with special needs, their families and their communities.

Rebecca A. Ruiz, M.A.

Rebecca has over fifteen years of experience in the special needs industry and specializes in inclusion programming, curriculum development, and leadership enhancement. Rebecca received her Bachelors Degree from the University of California, San Diego, and a Masters Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism from San Diego State University. Additionally, Rebecca excelled in and completed Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) coursework at San Diego State University and is a positive contributor of practice and leadership in the field of ABA. She is a valued and respected visionary partner with families, school sites, and communities as an Education Specialist and Behavior Specialist. 

 

Rebecca founded Cornerstone Behavioral Health Specialists in 2017 with a desire to positively impact children with special needs and to support their families and extended communities. In her spare time, Rebecca serves on the Board of Miracle 139 International, a non-profit organization that provides training and other special-needs resources both nationally and internationally. Rebecca supports the development of future educators who are pursuing the field of special education at the San County Office of Education, Intern Program, as an Instructor. In addition, she enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs.
