Cornerstone Behavioral Health Specialists exists to provide developmental and behavioral services to improve the lives of families and communities that include children with special needs. Our goal is to encourage communities to embrace children with special needs and their families and to empower people with practical solutions to enrich the lives of children with special needs, their families and their communities. 

Rebecca A. Ruiz, M.A., BCBA

Rebecca has over ten years of experience in the special needs industry and specializes in inclusion programming and curriculum development. Rebecca received her Bachelors Degree from the University of California, San Diego, a Masters Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism from San Diego State University and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Rebecca founded Cornerstone Behavioral Health Specialists in 2017 with a desire to positively impact children with special needs and to support their families and extended communities. In her spare time, Rebecca serves on the Board of Miracle 139 International, a non-profit organization that provides training and other special-needs resources to third-world countries. Rebecca is also an adjunct professor at Pt. Loma Nazarene University teaching in the Special Education department. In addition, she enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs.
